Sergej O. Prokofieff

Siergiej Olegovich Prokofieff (16 stycznia 1954 – 26 lipca 2014) był rosyjskim antropozofem. Był wnukiem kompozytora Siergieja Prokofiewa i jego pierwszej żony Liny Prokofiew oraz synem Olega Prokofiewa i jego pierwszej żony Sofii Korowiny. Urodzony w Moskwie, studiował sztuki piękne i malarstwo w Moskiewskiej Szkole Sztuk Pięknych. W młodości zetknął się z antropozofią i wkrótce podjął decyzję, by poświęcić jej swoje życie.

Prokofieff, który publikował jako Sergei O. Prokofieff, napisał swoją pierwszą książkę, Rudolf Steiner and the Founding of the New Mysteries, podczas pobytu w Rosji Radzieckiej. Książka ta została wydana po raz pierwszy w języku niemieckim w 1982 roku, a w 1986 roku w tłumaczeniu angielskim. Po upadku Związku Radzieckiego był współzałożycielem Towarzystwa Antropozoficznego w Rosji. Na Wielkanoc 2001 roku został członkiem Rady Wykonawczej Głównego Towarzystwa Antropozoficznego w Dornach w Szwajcarii.

Prokofieff był płodnym autorem; rdzeniem jego twórczości jest próba rozwinięcia pogłębionego zrozumienia chrześcijaństwa na podstawie duchowo-naukowych badań Rudolfa Steinera. W 1989 roku Prokofieff napisał Duchowe źródła Europy Wschodniej i przyszłe misteria Świętego Graala (Wyd. pl. Genesis 2020), książkę, która analizowała duchowe prądy wpływające na Rosję i świat słowiański ogólnie i w odniesieniu do światowych wydarzeń społecznych i geopolitycznych oraz zmian.

W późniejszym okresie życia Prokofieff napisał dwie prace, The Case of Valentin Tomberg i Valentin Tomberg and Anthroposophy: a problematic relationship, w których przedstawił pogląd, że Valentin Tomberg, chrześcijański hermetysta i autor (podobnie jak Prokofieff) głębokich chrześcijańskich książek okultystycznych, w późniejszych latach życia stał się apologetą jezuityzmu (termin ten jest jednak rozumiany lub używany w specyficznie antropozoficznym sensie, a nie po prostu w odniesieniu do jezuitów, jak to się zwykle rozumie).
